The beautiful extensive landscaped terrain is approached in its entirety. The choice was made to house the various functions – farewell, meal, cremation – in separate buildings.
This offers the opportunity to orchestrate time and introduce the traditional walk into the landscape. Each building stands in a specific relationship to its immediate surroundings and the topography of the terrain.
Entering and leaving the building is done from different sides and offers a different view of the landscape. In the design, much attention was paid to the presence of different mourning groups that are not mixed up with each other. Landscape and light play an orienting and accompanying role. The buildings are made of masonry and are capped by large fine roofs, slightly curved with corners that hang down slightly. Comforting architecture.
