092 Tour&Taxis Brussels - Building UV3

The UV3 building resembles a villa in a garden. It forms one of the side façades surrounding the second inner courtyard. Its simple, almost cubic volume consists of six storeys. A horizontal moulding marks the upper level of the volume.
Although they appear similar at first glance, none of the four facades are actually the same. Each facade responds in its own way to its position. The orientation and relationship with the surrounding space, which is more public in the courtyard or more private in the communal garden, bring subtle variations to the window openings and balconies. The courtyard-side façade is the most formal.

The façades are composed of white-grey brick combined with light grey precast concrete elements. The window frames are made of aluminium in a similar colour.
On the ground floor, the vaulted entrance is offset, offering a view of the porch and entrance hall before leading to the corridor and the garden at the rear. The entrance porch is also connected to a bicycle storage room.
Each floor has four corner flats. These all have a loggia, which is positioned on the corner of the building and offers views of the garden.
