The brief calls for a villa with 12 flats, in a volume of 3 storeys and a roof. We grouped three flats per floor around a central core. This is not an inner courtyard, but a spacious stairwell that is given a dignified appearance by its dimensions and materials. A skylight provides a light, pleasant space.
All the flats have their own atmosphere. The ground floor flats enjoy a private garden. On the first floor, there is an outdoor room, and a loggia on the second floor. The roof flats enjoy a roof terrace.
The stacked outdoor spaces form an expressive part of the building’s exterior. They clearly use the architectural language of the Villa. The access to the building is also expressive. The entrance is visible from a distance and forms an outdoor space that gradually builds up the transition between exterior and interior.
The dwellings are arranged in the plan in such a way that they all enjoy maximum park views and optimal sunlight. In the floor plans, the transition from public to private continues. A spacious entrance hall leads to the living areas, which then have a spatial relationship with the outdoor rooms. We are aiming for a sequence, an enfilade of clearly defined, tangible rooms.
